"Tender Clarity – The Poetry of Armindo Trevisan" is a sensitive portrait of one of Brazil's greatest poets. Directed by Caio Amon and filmed in the gardens of the Ling Institute, the documentary takes the form of a conversation with his friend Jorge Béria, in which Trevisan revisits his career at 94. Between memories of his childhood, when poetry was born from an unusual encounter with death, and reflections on the creative process, he reveals his vital relationship with poetry and the books that have accompanied him throughout his life. Alternating humor, criticism, and spirituality, the poet reads his most famous poems and unpublished manuscripts, echoing the testimony of a life dedicated to words. The film reveals a lucid and intimate Trevisan, for whom poetry is, above all, the place where thought and emotion come together.
