what we did
We follow visual artist Marcos da Matta, a native of Conceição do Almeida, Bahia, during the creative process of his intervention on one of the walls of the Ling Institute.
The work is part of the "Ling Presents" project, curated this year by Bitu Cassundé, and provides an immersion into the landscape of the June festivities of Recôncavo Baiano. Through a figurative and realistic approach, also articulated around a strong understanding of color as a language, da Matta brings into dialogue personal experiences and the dynamics of informal street work to reflect on life, survival, work, self-representation, and territory.
