what we did
We directed the audiovisual work for a stage experiment by the Gompa Collective entitled Legitimate Defense, which involved live filming with a camera on stage and simultaneous transmission.
Legitimate Defense is the beginning of a new research project by the Gompa Collective, still in its infancy. It is a stage experiment that blends theater, dance, music, and performance to explore the themes of invasion, colonialism, and forms of resistance. On stage, bodies dance, react, and confront, bringing to light memories of struggle and survival. Through movement and collective creation, the work questions who occupies, who resists, and how a territory is defended—be it physical, historical, or symbolic.
